Blåkläder joins NXT Gen Cup as Official Work Wear Partner

Blåkläder, a company with its roots firmly planted in the heartland of the Swedish textile industry, has joined NXT Gen Cup, the world’s first 100% electric junior touring car cup, as the Official Workwear Partner ahead of the 2024 season which starts on July 5-7 at Norisring in Germany.

"We are glad to welcome such a renowned and innovative company as Blåkläder to the NXT Gen Cup family. Blåkläder will be a key partner as they will provide our mechanics and engineers with high-quality clothing for the demanding conditions of our racing environment," said Christian Axelsson, Brand & Marketing Manager of NXT Gen Cup.

With a deep and genuine knowledge of workwear following more than 60 years in the business, Blåkläder will provide the NXT Gen Cup mechanics and engineers with durable and sustainable workwear.

A vital part of the cooperation between NXT Gen Cup and Blåkläder will be a joint school tour during the autumn of 2024, providing future mechanics and engineers with an insight into the world of electrified motorsport and the automotive industry.

"The ground-breaking work of NXT Gen Cup in creating a sustainable motorsport platform for young drivers, mechanics and engineers is thoroughly impressive and we are delighted to become a part of it," said Jonatan Andersson, Marketing Manager.

"We will together with NXT Gen Cup provide the young talents with the right type of clothes for their demanding work environment and give them an insight of an exciting potential future career. We can't wait for the season to begin!"

NXT Gen Cup, the world’s first electric junior touring car cup, will race together with the DTM, Europe’s premier and best-known racing series, this year for 12 intense races across four race weekends from July to October.
