Guest driver Sebastian Serban makes it a record NXT Gen Cup grid at Mantorp

Guest driver Sebastian Serban will make the NXT Gen Cup grid the biggest so far with 19 cars for the Mantorp Park season finale this weekend.

The Romanian is an experienced electric MINI racer, having raced hill climb in his home country this year.

“I’m extremely excited to join NXT Gen Cup as guest driver and I’m thrilled to be the first one to race their most recently completed LRT NXT1,” said Sebastian Serban.

“Over the past year, I have embarked on an electrifying journey in the world of Romanian motorsport, and my weapon of choice has of course been the electric MINI. This remarkable year has been a whirlwind of excitement, challenges, and triumphs, all fueled by the electric power of innovation.”

The Romanian driver will race as guest driver at Mantorp Park, ineligible to score points, in the newest LRT NXT1 race car which was completed at the NXT Gen Cup headquarters in Gothenburg earlier this week.

“This year in Romanian motorsport has not only been about my personal achievements but also about inspiring others. It's about showcasing the potential of electric vehicles in motorsport and contributing to the growth of the local motorsport community,” said Sebastian Serban.

“I’m looking forward to gain new experiences and knowledge from NXT Gen Cup and I look to the future with excitement and anticipation.”
