Ben Bendler completes NXT Gen Cup grid at the Nürburgring

Ben Bendler completes the 16-car NXT Gen Cup grid for this weekend's races at the legendary Nürburgring in Germany.

"I'm very glad to join the NXT Gen Cup field and get my very first taste of electric racing," said Ben Bendler.

The 18-year-old German currently races in the ADAC Tourenwagen Junior Cup where he is placed eighth overall so far and has previously raced in karting.

"Racing the LRT NXT1 will be completely new for me and while I will have very limited preparations ahead of the weekend, my ambition is as always to do my very best," said Ben Bendler.

"The NXT Gen Cup field is really competitive and that motivates me. I took my first step from karting to racing two years ago and NXT Gen Cup is a great next step forward to take. The plan so far is to race at the Nürburgring and then evaluate to see what the future holds - I'm really excited to get going."

Ben Bendler will join the NXT Gen Cup field at the Nürburgring DTM race weekend this weekend, August 17-18, which is broadcast LIVE on YouTube - learn more. The identity of the 16th and final driver will be revealed tomorrow.
