German GT4 driver Niklas Kalus set for NXT Gen Cup debut at Hockenheim finale

19-year-old Porsche Sprint Challenge driver Niklas Kalus completes the 17-car grid for the Hockenheimring finale, as the German makes his NXT Gen Cup debut this weekend.

Niklas Kalus secured the Porsche Sports Cup Sprint Challenge GT4 RS title earlier this fall.

“It’s going to be awesome, and I’m really excited for this weekend. It’ll be my first time driving a car like this, and I can’t wait to see how it drives and feels,” said Niklas Kalus.

17 cars will compete in the NXT Gen Cup finale alongside DTM at Hockenheimring this weekend, as three new drivers join the grid: rising German talents Niklas Kalus, Theo Wieder, and Leon Arndt.

The NXT Gen Cup races together with the DTM - Europe’s premier and best-known racing series - at the Hockenheimring finale weekend and all races are broadcast LIVE on YouTube.
