Lennart Wolf joins growing NXT Gen Cup grid for 2025

NXT Gen Cup is excited to announce yet another promising newcomer to the 2025 grid: German talent Lennart Wolf will make his electric racing debut, competing full-time in the 100% electric touring car championship, starting at Oschersleben on 25–27 April.

Wolf’s racing career began in karting, where he secured multiple championship titles. The Braunschweig native then transitioned to car racing, claiming the 2019 NATC Youngster Cup. Now, 2025 marks a new chapter in his career as he takes on the challenge of electric racing.

“I see joining the 2025 NXT Gen Cup as an opportunity to open a new chapter in my racing career and gain a unique experience in an electric race car,” said Lennart Wolf.

For the past five seasons, the 23-year-old has competed in the DMV BMW 318ti Cup, where he has gained valuable experience on several tracks featured on the 2025 NXT Gen Cup calendar—something he believes will serve as a strong foundation.

“I know three of the four tracks on the 2025 calendar, and that experience—especially my knowledge of the key corners—will give me a solid base. I’m excited to see how the NXT Gen Cup car behaves in certain sections and whether it presents any surprises. We’ll see! My goal is, of course, to race at the front. If I thought otherwise, I wouldn’t be here. The title is my main focus because more than anything, I want to become a professional race driver,” Wolf continued.

Wolf’s entry adds yet another strong competitor to the 2025 NXT Gen Cup grid. Despite being a rookie in the series, he brings a wealth of racing experience.

“We first met Lennart when NXT Gen Cup raced at Oschersleben in 2023, and after two years of hard work, he has now made it to the grid. It’s motivating to see drivers achieve their goals, and now we will support him in reaching the sporting targets he has set for himself. He brings experience, knows the tracks, and we’re excited to see what he can achieve!” said Fredrik Lestrup, founder of NXT Gen Cup.

NXT Gen Cup, the world’s first electric junior touring car series, will once again race alongside DTM—Europe’s premier and best-known racing series—over four race weekends from April to August.
