NXT Gen Cup podium finisher Alexzander Kristiansson returns for Hockenheim finale

Last year’s sixth-place finisher, Alexzander Kristiansson, returns to finish his season driving the all-electric LRT NXT1. The Swede secured three podium finishes during his 2023 NXT Gen Cup campaign.

“When I got the question if I wanted to come back for the final weekend, I couldn’t say no. Especially with the finale at Hockenheim alongside DTM,” said Alexzander Kristiansson.

The 24-year-old has competed in the Ginetta GT5 Challenge this season, securing the championship title just a few weeks ago. He now returns to the NXT Gen Cup, aiming to fight at the very top.

“The goal isn’t just to participate. It’s to fight for a spot on the podium. The other drivers have gained a lot of experience this year, so I’ll need to make the most of the practice sessions to get up to speed and maximize my performance from qualifying onward,” Alexzander Kristiansson continues.

“It’s going to be fantastic to be back racing with drivers I know from last year, as well as the new faces who seem really quick. It’ll be interesting to see how I stack up against them all. It will be great to finish the season racing in the NXT Gen Cup and have a fun weekend.”

The NXT Gen Cup races together with the DTM - Europe’s premier and best-known racing series - at the Hockenheimring finale weekend and all races are broadcast LIVE on YouTube.
