Touring car standout Maxim Felix Dacher sets sights on electric racing
The NXT Gen Cup grid for 2025 continues to grow, and the latest addition is 18-year-old Maxim Felix Dacher, who is set to make his electric racing debut this season.
The German driver began his career in karting before moving to the ADAC Tourenwagen Junior Cup, where he enjoyed two successful seasons. Last year, he secured an impressive third place in the championship. Now, as he takes the next step in his career, he will compete in NXT Gen Cup at some of Europe’s top racing circuits.
“Even as a little boy, I dreamed of racing on the same weekends as the DTM, proving my potential in front of large crowds and top racing teams. With my move to NXT Gen Cup, that dream is now coming true, and I’m really looking forward to the season,” said Dacher.
Dacher is known for pushing both himself and the car to the limit, an ambition that sets him up as a strong contender in his rookie season.
“My goal is to learn and improve as much as possible while showing my potential. The ultimate goal is, of course, to win the championship, but I also want to develop my skills both on and off the track,” Dacher continued.
The addition of Maxim Felix Dacher brings both talent and experience to the 2025 NXT Gen Cup grid.
“Maxim’s past two seasons in the ADAC Tourenwagen Junior Cup have given him valuable experience on tracks like Oschersleben and Nürburgring—two challenging circuits that are part of this year’s NXT Gen Cup calendar. There’s no doubt in our minds that Maxim will be a strong contender from the very first lap,” said Fredrik Lestrup, NXT Gen Cup founder.
NXT Gen Cup, the world’s first electric junior touring car cup, will once again race alongside DTM—Europe’s premier and best-known racing series—over four race weekends from April to August.

About DTM
DTM is Europe’s premier and best-known racing series and celebrated its 40th birthday in 2024. As one of the most competitive racing series, DTM features seven prestigious brands in its anniversary season. The DTM has a German core, but a strong international fan base. Races are broadcasted live in 150 territories. The series is also a leader in sustainable motorsport. For the second season, all cars are powered by a sustainable fuel made of 50% renewable components. Not only the cars racing in DTM are in the centre of sustainable projects.
