2025 NXT Gen Cup calendar revealed with continued DTM cooperation
The 2025 NXT Gen Cup calendar has been confirmed as the world’s first 100% electric junior touring car cup continues its successful cooperation with DTM, Europe’s premiere and best-known racing series.
NXT Gen Cup will feature 12 intense races in 2025 across four race weekends in Germany from April to August as the junior championship starts its ground-breaking third season, including an official two-day pre-season test at Gelleråsen Arena, Sweden, in April.
“We are thrilled to present our 2025 calendar this early and to continue our successful cooperation with the ADAC and DTM,” said Fredrik Lestrup, NXT Gen Cup founder.
“We will continue to provide our young talents a comprehensive educational programme while racing on international circuits in Europe under the professional umbrella of DTM. We have already received several 2025 entries and we are confident that our third season will be our best yet!”
The NXT Gen Cup season will start during Q2 of 2025 on a yet to be announced opening venue, followed by the legendary streets of Norisring in Germany in July.
August will feature an intense season end with the iconic Nürburgring hosting the penultimate round and the thrilling Sachsenring hosting the season finale.
“We are very much looking forward to starting our second full season of cooperation with the NXT Gen Cup after a highly successful 2024 season. Their electric junior concept is a key part for our platform as we continue to push for a sustainable and exciting motorsport future and we look forward to bringing even more junior talents forward together,” said ADAC Motorsport Director Thomas Voss.
NXT Gen Cup features an arrive-and-drive concept, with a full season available for 60.000€ - including engineering support, LIVE broadcast on YouTube, a robust education package in sponsor relations, company economics, PR and much more.
Last year saw a competitive grid of the all-electric LRT NXT1 race cars being raced by more than 28 drivers from eight different countries, including Sweden, Denmark, Netherlands, Czechia, Scotland, Germany, Latvia and Norway.
More than 37 000 kilometers and close to 6 000 laps have been raced for the past two seasons in NXT Gen Cup with the all-electric LRT NXT race cars that are built and developed by Lestrup Racing, providing thrilling, reliable and sustainable racing.

About DTM
DTM is Europe’s premier and best-known racing series and is celebrating its 40th birthday in 2024. As one of the most competitive racing series, DTM features seven prestigious brands in its anniversary season. The DTM has a German core, but a strong international fan base. Races are broadcasted live in 150 territories. The series is also a leader in sustainable motorsport. For the second season, all cars are powered by a sustainable fuel made of 50% renewable components. Not only the cars racing in DTM are in the centre of sustainable projects. For the events itself the ADAC as promoter of the DTM offers innovations like an initiative to reduce plastic waste and a digital carpool solution, which has been recognised and awarded by the FIA.
