Oschersleben completes thrilling 2025 NXT Gen Cup calendar

Oschersleben completes a thrilling 2025 NXT Gen Cup calendar and will host the first race of the season on April 25-27 together with the DTM, Europe’s premiere and best-known racing series.

“We are delighted to be back at Oschersleben, the circuit where we made our international debut in 2023 and one of my personal favourites as a racing driver,” said Fredrik Lestrup, founder of NXT Gen Cup.

“It’s a great feeling to be part of the DTM season opener and have a complete calendar together with them and ADAC again, offering our young talents a thoroughly competitive platform to start building their careers from.”

The 3.7-kilometre German circuit will host the first of four race weekends of the 2025 season which will feature a total of 12 intense races from April to August as the electric series starts its third season.

The second NXT Gen Cup race will be held at the iconic Norisring street circuit in July, followed by an intense season end in August with two race weekends at the Nürburgring and Sachsenring.

NXT Gen Cup features an arrive-and-drive concept, with a full season available for 60.000€ - including engineering support, LIVE broadcast on YouTube, a robust education package in sponsor relations, company economics, PR and a lot more.

Last year saw a competitive grid of the all-electric LRT NXT1 race cars being raced by more than 28 drivers from eight different countries, including Sweden, Denmark, Netherlands, Czechia, Scotland, Germany, Latvia and Norway.

About NXT Gen Cup
The NXT Gen Cup is the world’s first 100% electric junior touring car cup where young female and male drivers race the LRT NXT1, a fully electric race car based on the MINI Cooper SE road car - engineered and built by Lestrup Racing Team. The series races together with DTM and is organised through an “arrive and drive” concept, enabling the junior drivers to focus on driving and creating the foundation for a professional racing career.

About DTM
DTM is Europe’s premier and best-known racing series and celebrated its 40th birthday in 2024. As one of the most competitive racing series, DTM features seven prestigious brands in its anniversary season. The DTM has a German core, but a strong international fan base. Races are broadcasted live in 150 territories. The series is also a leader in sustainable motorsport. For the second season, all cars are powered by a sustainable fuel made of 50% renewable components. Not only the cars racing in DTM are in the centre of sustainable projects. For the events itself the ADAC as promoter of the DTM offers innovations like an initiative to reduce plastic waste and a digital carpool solution, which has been recognised and awarded by the FIA.
